Vegas questions, answered

Straight answers from what we've checked. Prices and schedules change, so confirm with the venue.

What's free on the Strip?

The Fountains of Bellagio, the Bellagio Conservatory (open 24/7) and the Lake of Dreams at Wynn, which runs every half hour from dusk until 11:30pm. The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign is free too. Heads up: the sidewalk in front of the Bellagio fountains is closed Sept 14 to Nov 9, 2026 for F1 construction, so viewing is limited.

How do I get from the airport to the Strip?

Uber and Lyft pick up inside the parking garage, not at the curb: Level 2 at Terminal 1 and the Valet Level at Terminal 3. Follow the signs in the terminal. Taxis line up outside baggage claim at Terminal 1 (doors 1-4) and on Level Zero near door 52 at Terminal 3.

How much is the Las Vegas Monorail?

One ride is $5.75 as an online eTicket or $6.25 at the station machines. A 1-day pass is $13.95 online or $15.50 at machines. It runs along the east side of the Strip from SAHARA to MGM Grand, with 7 stations.

Getting around

How much is the Deuce bus?

A single ride is $4. Passes are $6 for 2 hours, $8 for 24 hours and $20 for 3 days. Buy them in the rideRTC app or at the ticket machines along the Strip.

Where can I eat vegetarian or Indian food on the Strip?

For Indian, Gymkhana at ARIA has vegetarian dishes on the menu. For fully plant-based food, try Crossroads Kitchen at Resorts World or Tacotarian in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. Allegro at Wynn and True Food Kitchen at The Forum Shops at Caesars also have plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes.

When does pool season end?

Most dayclubs wrap up in mid to late October. In 2026, Ayu lists events through Oct 17 and LIV Beach through Oct 18. Marquee Dayclub's heated Dome comes back in October, so it keeps going after the outdoor season.

Is cannabis legal for tourists?

Adults 21 and over can buy at a licensed dispensary with a government photo ID, and out-of-state IDs and passports are accepted. Public use isn't allowed, most hotels and casinos ban it, and you can't take it out of Nevada or on a plane.
